Biography

American poet Amy Lowell (1874-1925) was born into a wealthy New England family. She was inspired by and passionately aligned herself with the Imagists, to the apparent dismay of Ezra Pound, who distanced himself from the movement he had founded. Lowell won the Pulitzer Prize the year after her death for her collection What’s O’Clock.
