Aracelis Girmay
Biography
Aracelis Girmay is a poet and editor. Her poems and essays have been published widely and can be found in e-flux, The Paris Review, and The Poetry Review. Girmay was named a finalist for the Neustadt International Prize for Literature and was a recipient of the Whiting Award. Her books have been named finalists for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award. Girmay is on the editorial board of the African Poetry Book Fund. Green of All Heads is her fourth full-length collection. She lives in the East Bay and teaches at Stanford University.
