Biography
Born Edwin John Dove Pratt in Western Bay, Newfoundland, E. J. Pratt lived most of his professional life in Toronto, Ontario, where he taught in both the Psychology and English departments at the University of Toronto. He published over 20 collections of poetry, three of which won the Governor General’s Literary Award.
