Write about a city

A collage of a city

— Write a poem, between 14 and 36 lines, about a city or a town.

— A real city or town that people have heard of. So, this could include smaller places like “Oakville, Ontario” or “Fort Worth, Texas” as it would “London, England” or "Vancouver, British Columbia"

— The name of the city is the title of the poem.

— The speaker of the poem has intimate, detailed knowledge of this city. She or he knows the place backwards and forwards, has probably lived there all their life and is definitely not a tourist. What we are looking for in this poem are the details which confirm the speaker’s intimacy with the place.

— The city can not be a city which you, the author, have ever been to.
